Can’t Configure new Synology server on the network

I had to setup a Synology 1813+ server which should be a easy task.

you can do this by using ‘Synology Assistant‘  or via http://find.synology.com

I where able to see my new NAS but not connect to it (connection failed…)

When I looked up the (DHCP) IP address of my new Synology server at my Firewall (which block DNS requests)

it turns out the Synology NAS wanted to connect to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) once I allowed it to do this

I where able to configure it.
