Importing .pst file to Outlook.com / hotmail.com

I have a 6.5 GB .PST (Outlook format) which I need to hand over to a user who does not have Outlook.

(and are using a Mac).

I had a Win8 PC with Outlook 2013, so what I did to help him out – I created a new account

on www.outlook.com (former hotmail.com) but you cant import PST files into outlook.com via the web interface.

So I started  my Outlook 2013 – and used “Add account” with the credentials from outlook.com

Once I had this – I tried to open my 6.5GB PST file – which opened fine – I thought I where able to drag’n’mail online, but

after 30 sec. I got this message:

..Sorry Exchange ActiveSync doesn’t support what you’re trying to do.

Google told my to setup the outlook.com account and re-open the PST file in Outlook 2010

Which I did – since I tried to open a Outlook.com account in Outlook 2010 I 

apparently first need to install the ” Microsoft Office Outlook Connector Setup”
